Antique Filing Cabinet - Office Chest Of Drawers – Brass Handles Vintage Wooden
An attractive antique solid wooden chest of drawers fitted with solid brass cup handles and traditional key escutcheons (no key included). It offers four drawers providing useful storage and could serve equally well as an office filing cabinet, bedside chest, or standalone pedestal. The top three drawers each feature a central divider, with both sections wide enough to comfortably accommodate A4 paper flat.
(Sizes Below)
Constructed from solid wood (Likely mahogany or similar) with dovetailed drawers and brass cup handles.
It appears to have originally formed part of a larger piece of furniture, possibly a twin pedestal counter or bank of drawers, later adapted for standalone use. This gives it a distinctive industrial or repurposed office character, with plenty of authentic wear and history.
Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
A very well-used and worn antique piece showing plenty of character. The top and sides have many scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss from long use. Many chips and marks are visible to edges and corners, and several old screw or fixing holes where it was once attached to another section. The brass handles show age-related tarnish and wear. The piece remains structurally sound and usable. Would benefit from a good clean and polish or ideal for restoration.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
