Antique Oak Cabinet Chest Of Drawers - Wooden Music Cupboard Barley Twist Retro
Description
An antique oak cabinet with three drawers over a double-door cupboard, raised on a barley twist base. A compact but well-proportioned piece offering useful storage, suitable for use as a small chest, side cabinet, or occasional storage unit in a hallway, bedroom, or study.
The cabinet is constructed with solid oak drawer fronts and doors, with moulded detailing and metal drop handles. The carcass appears to be oak veneered over a secondary timber, consistent with period construction. The cupboard interior is open and unlined, and the piece stands on a base with turned barley twist legs and stretchers. The style is traditional and clearly revival in character, likely dating to the early 20th century, produced in a Jacobean or Tudor Revival style. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
In well used antique condition. Showing age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, knocks, and general finish wear throughout, particularly to the top surface and edges. The drawers run, and the cupboard doors open and close as they should. Some wear and marks are visible internally, consistent with use and age. The base and cabinet remain solid and usable. Would benefit from a good clean and polish or ideal for up-cycle / refinishing.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
