Vintage Red & White Hand Painted Drawers
This beautiful antique pine chest of drawers has been refinished in a unique hand painted candy stripe design.
Using a bespoke mix, I created this ruby red shade and paired it with a crisp white. Painting traditional candy cane stripes which wrap around the body of this character filled chest of drawers.
The paintwork has been top coated on a semi matte clear varnish for added durability and a soft sheen.
The inside of the chest of drawers & drawers have been clear varnished also.
A set of solid polished brass cup handles have been attached, to compliment the key hole covers. These pop against the fun design and colours.
There are four spacious drawers, each smooth running, and this beautiful antique chest sits on its original tulip style feet.
The pine top has been sanded smooth and stained using a warm brown staining oil.
This fabulous piece of furniture has been lovingly restored, making it the perfect statement piece to add to a children’s bedroom or nursery. The fun yet traditional paint design would compliment many room schemes. From a fun primary colour scheme to circus or air balloon styles perhaps.
The deep drawer top provides added space for books or storage boxes. Or would make the perfect changing table top for your new arrival.
This is a solid and well made pine chest of drawers, but is antique so naturally there may be some signs of it’s previous use.
