Tall Art Deco Cocktail Cabinet ~ available to commission
Art Deco Black Cocktail Cabinet/Bureau/Bookcase
Are you looking for something different, not too big or too small, something unique, a multitasking piece of furniture you can use in different areas or you home, then look no further than this rare 1920s/30s art deco bureau/bookcase.
This beautiful piece of furniture was originally bought from Finglands House Furnishers of Leeds, still bearing its makers label on the back.
Now transformed into a drinks cabinet but could be still used as a bureau/desk/bookcase if you so wish.
Standing on two long columns which has side shelving ideal for showcasing your glassware or books.
These columns support two compartments, the bottom being a two door cupboard to store your favourite tipples in.
The top cabinet has a drop down door to reveal a mirrored glass drinks preparation area, ideal incase of any spillages, both cupboards are fitted with new mirror bases and backs to help the reflect light.
This piece might not be the biggest cabinet I have ever refinished but it fought me all the way with colour and design, wanting to keep some of the natural hard wood. Light colours did not work well so, out came the black paint and compromised with a pop of colour coming from the metallic grey and gold edging to the door panels to match the newly painted original hardware.
Clear varnish in satin has been used for protection.
This is a rare, one of a kind piece and definitely a talking point for your guests.
