Austinsuite Chest of Drawers: Mid-Century Modern Tallboy Cabinet Teak Six Drawer
An amazing piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a six drawer chest by Austinsuite. The chest of drawers consists of six hand crafted graduating drawers with each one offering excellent storage, on each drawer front there is a single large teak pull handle. The cabinet has been crafted by Austinsuite and bears their gold makers mark within the top drawer, designed by Frank Guille who was one of Britain's finest mid-century designers. His work was defined by a dedication to function, utility and simplicity he first learned from English masters Robin Day and Gordon Russell with a later scholarship in Copenhagen he studied under one of the founders of Danish modern furniture design Kaare Klint as well as various commissions for the Royal college of art. The chest is a stunning and genuine piece of vintage and mid century furniture that looks amazing with a wonderful look and styling that would suit any home or environment

Condition The chest is in superb condition made of teak with a wonderful colour to the grain. The chest has been hand sanded to the original wood then waxed and French polished.
