Brighton Pavilion Style Horseshoe Back Chair Bamboo Fretwork Geometric Motifs Black Laquer Finish In Excellent Condition

A horseshoe back black lacquered wooden armchair from the 20th century with bamboo geometric fretwork and cushion. It is known for its Brighton Pavilion style chair this armchair features an elegant horseshoe back accented in the centre with a stylized radiating star sitting above a bamboo medallion with geometric fretwork, flanked with uneven rings. Strengthened with natural rattan, the back and arms surround a polygonal shaped seat comprising of a custom made cushion that I have added foam to and made a fresh zipped, removeable cover. The apron shows a regular rhythm of stick motifs on three of its five sides. It has a glossy black patina, and is raised on straight feet connected to one another through double side stretchers running along the entire structure.
