Dating from the early 20th century, of pleasing proportions and practical design. The stool features a hinged upholstered seat with a woven textile top, lifting smoothly to reveal useful internal storage beneath. As is typical for items of this period, there is no fitted support or bracket to hold the seat in the open position. The interior is clean and well-presented.

The stool stands on four elegant tapering legs with gently shaped side supports, offering both stability and visual lightness. The mahogany frame displays a warm, rich tone with attractive grain throughout. There are surface marks, light scratches, and areas of wear consistent with age and use, all of which add to the piece’s authentic Edwardian character. Overall, the stool remains sturdy and functional, suitable for continued use as a piano stool, occasional seat, or decorative accent piece.
