French Empire Commode
A wonderful solid oak French commode, from the Empire period, in lovely original condition. Made from oak with thick walnut veneer finish, now painted in jet black, typical colour for this period, tiny flashes of old red paint showing on edges and finished with a medium wax. The half round side columns have decorative brass caps and feet. All three keys are present, to use as drawer pulls.
