Harris Lebus Chest of Draws
Beautiful vintage Harris Lebus chest with two large deep draws has been a joy to breathe new life back into so it can continue to do the job it was built for in the 1940’s, they don’t make them like this anymore and this is a wonderful example of the product.
I have used a bold rich colour palette; the external body of the draws has been painted using Annie Sloan chalk paint in the colour Aubusson Blue. The draw fronts have a tropical jungle vibe and this has been continued on the body with highlights of gold gilding wax. The original handles have been cleaned and gold gilding wax has been added and buffed back with clear wax to soften the finish. The internal draws have been treated with a couple of coats of Hemp Oil to rejuvenate them.
