A striking Glastonbury-style chair, crafted from oak with a distinctive cross-leg base and thick cylindrical stretcher. Its bold silhouette and solid construction give it a strong ecclesiastical feel, making it both decorative as well as functional.
The oak has developed a rich colour and grain, enhancing the chair’s character and presence. A lovely example of this traditional design.
There are some nicks to the wood here and there, consistent with use, and it has a lovely patina that only comes with age and use.
