Painted Antique Sideboard Carved Sideboard
Completion time approx. 3 weeks - You can split the bill in 2 or 3 payments. I only need the deposit to start my work and the rest could be paid during or after completion. Normally I take approx. £300 for deposit.
I have included "before" photo of the sideboard so you can see what it looked like prior to painting. These sideboards from Victorian & Edwardian era comes in various sizes meaning we can find one to suit your needs. Lots of different designs to choose from, number of drawers or doors etc. All these sideboards are superbly made, the craftsmanship is incredible and that shows in all the carvings. Its very solid piece which will last for many years to come.
What you are getting for your money?
1. I will source the piece for you (size, style, design)
2. I will arrange courier both ways
3. You will have personal advise regarding paints, colours, finishes and your own impact of the design, colour choice, hardware & finish
4. The piece will be professionally prepped - meaning cleaning, stripping inside & out from all old varnish, stain or lacquer all the way to bare wood
5. All repairs will be done if required
6. Sideboard will be professionally spray painted in primer to give flawless finish
7. Spray painted in the colour of your choice and its many to choose from...
8. Inside will be left natural wood, but stripped and nourished wood with beautifully scented furniture salve. Nobody wants old, full of stains drawers or cupboards.
9. I will finish the sideboard with extra strong top coat to protect it - matte, satin or gloss finish.
10. The locks will be repaired & keys cut
11. Hardware will be polished to the former glory
12. The piece can be done in various techniques to highlight the beautiful carvings - gold leaf, gilding waxes, glazes, colour blending techniques - Sky is the limit!
13. You will be updated through the process & see photos of the progress in which you will have your own impact and you can put your own stamp on it.
14. Sideboard will be professionally photographed & only after your full approval will be shipped from my studio directly to your living room
This particular sideboard was also the commission order and our client wanted antique piece with a modern colour scheme to fit their home
We will ship finished piece within 5 days after completion
