These solid pine bedsides are my latest finished piece. They have been purchased locally, have been reloved and are now ready to be reused.
I have cleaned the bedsides, removed the dark wax and hand painted them in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint ‘Amsterdam Green’, lightly distressed and finished with clear wax to seal the paint. The top has been belt sanded and I’ve applied a dark oak satin varnish.
Chalk paint is a decorative paint known for its matte and chalky appearance. You can see the deliberate textured brush marks, wax application and areas where it has been buffed.
