Pair of Victorian Carved Walnut Upholstered Library Armchairs

Pair of Victorian Carved Walnut Upholstered Library Armchairs

A handsome pair of Victorian carved walnut library armchairs, richly detailed with decorative carving and classic proportions. The shaped frames, turned front legs with castors, and carved top rails give the chairs a strong period presence, making them ideal as statement seating in both traditional and eclectic interiors.

The chairs remain very solid and sturdy, with attractive carving throughout the walnut frames. The upholstery shows obvious signs of wear and would benefit from attention or reupholstery depending on personal taste, but the chairs are perfectly usable as they are.

A decorative and characterful pair, well suited to a library, sitting room, or reading corner.

Condition:

Structurally sound with age-related wear to the upholstery consistent with use.

Dimensions (each):

Width: 71 cm

Depth: 79 cm

Height: 98.5 cm
