Upcycled Decoupaged Alice Dressing Table with Mirror

This little dressing table was in desperate need of a modernisation! And that is exactly what it has received…

Alice and Mad Hatter designs, by Dragonfly Crafts have been decoupaged to the base unit to create a striking visual effect. However this piece did have some gorgeous wood grain, which I simply couldn’t cover up. This has received a couple of coats of Osmo oil, to really bring out the natural colours in the wood.
The original handles have been kept on the top drawer and have had a bit of a make over, using faux gold leaf.
Now to the mirror…
This aged mirror to some looked like it had seen some better days, but to me..I saw inspiration. Wierd and Wacky Wonderland! I have again used Dragonfly Crafts decoupage paper to reverse decoupage this mirror and against the patina in the mirror, it really hits the spot. There is even three scratches in the reflective material which really suggests that this Cat has gotten MAD!
