Internally, the wardrobe is fitted with a full-length hanging rail together with original wooden coat pegs running around the interior perimeter, making it both functional and characterful. The piece is constructed as one solid unit, with only the removable pelmet allowing for easier transport — a testament to its sturdy Victorian craftsmanship.
Naturally, the wardrobe displays honest signs of age and use, including minor cosmetic repairs to the right-hand door and historic, treated worm to the pelmet (no longer active). These elements only enhance its authenticity and speak to a long and well-lived history.
