Vintage Chest Of Drawers / Commode Victorian Solid Wooden Turned Legs & Castors

An antique chest of drawers in solid wood, with two short drawers over two full-width drawers. Fitted with decorative brass-style handles and set on turned legs with original castors. The chest features shaped side brackets beneath the overhanging top and a simple plinth base, giving it a refined Victorian appearance.

Constructed from solid wood, possibly, beech or satinwood, with hand-cut dovetail joints and panelled sides. The drawers run on wooden runners and retain their original ornate handles. Likely late 19th century, c.1880–1900, in a traditional Victorian style. Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.

Condition
In well used antique condition with marks, scratches, knocks and small losses throughout. Some splits and old repairs to the frame and side panels. The finish is uneven with surface wear and fading in areas, and the drawers show age and staining inside. All drawers open and close and the chest stands solid and usable but the castors are still with age. There looks to have originally been a gallery rail to the back (shown by visible holes). Would benefit from a good clean and polish or ideal for refinishing.
