Vintage Glazed Library Bookcase Shelves Display Cabinet - Mahogany Leaded Glass
An attractive antique glazed bookcase or display cupboard in mahogany veneer, likely adapted from an earlier library bookcase top. Now freestanding, the piece stands on later Queen Anne style legs and has a shallow moulded cornice which may also be a later addition.
The front features two leaded glass panel doors, opening to reveal four fixed interior shelves. The wood veneer has a warm aged patina, and while the piece shows signs of age and use, it retains a strong decorative presence. The doors have a lock, but no key is present.
Unsure of the exact age or wood type of this item, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
This is a used item of age. It does have quite a few marks, scuffs, scratches, chips to the veneer and signs of wear and tear as to be expected with this type of item. There are marks, stains and wear to the top. One of the doors sits slightly proud at the top when closed. There is no key for the lock. Ideal for refinishing, up-cycle or to use as is. There is a previous repair to a section of missing veneer as shown. It would benefit from a top being added to make it more visually appealing.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
