Vintage Oak Bureau Bookcase
Vintage Oak Bureau Bookcase
A well-proportioned oak bureau bookcase, combining practical storage with classic styling. The piece is constructed in two sections, allowing it to split for ease of movement and transportation.
The upper bookcase section features two glazed doors, both opening and closing smoothly, with no cracks to the glass. Inside are two adjustable shelves, offering flexible display or storage space. The bookcase retains its key.
Below, the bureau section has a fall-front writing surface which opens and closes well and also retains its key. The interior is fitted with multiple small open compartments, ideal for paperwork, stationery, or display.
The base contains four drawers, all of which run smoothly, fitted with simple wooden handles. The piece stands on carved decorative feet, adding visual interest and grounding the form nicely.
Overall condition is good. The sides show only minimal wear consistent with age and use, with no significant issues to note. A solid, usable piece with plenty of character.
