Vintage Oak Tallboy Chest of Drawers: Antique Cabinet with Detailing Five Drawer

A stunning piece of vintage and antique furniture in an oak chest of drawers. The cabinet consists of five hand crafted drawers and with each drawer having superb dove tail jointing and offering excellent storage. On each of the drawer front their are two amazing brass pull handles and with each one super ornate. The cabinet has wonderful detailing with a back riser running along the top, a carved central floral motif while to the bottom there is a three column design within a scalloped edged detailing. To the back of the cabinet there are the original labels of the retailer of E.F.P Manchester along with the CC badge which indicates that the chest was part of the utility furniture scheme which was introduced after the war with shortages of supplies and that quality furniture could be produced.  The tallboy is a superb piece of vintage and antique furniture with a wonderful look and design and with super proportions and a lovely oak colour that would suit any home or environment.

Condition The cabinet is in superb condition, the chest has been hand sanded back to the original oak then French polished and waxed to help preserve the beautiful oak colour of the cabinet
