Vintage pale blue and gold drawered cupboard.

A beautiful top drawered vintage double cupboard. This has received two coats of Fusion Mineral's Heirloom, which is very close to Wedgewood blue, before the stunning decoupage with hints of gold was added. The original wooden beading, which runs across the drawer and down both sides, was painstakingly removed and gilded before being glued back into place. New gold leaf handles added, a touch of gold around the top and bottom side edges, inside the drawer and cupboard stained and a gold leaf stencil, echoed to match the handles, stencilled inside the doors. 

The cupboard doors, due to their age, are a little warped and not quite flush, so we fitted concealed magnets to help keep them firmly closed. This doesn't affect their usage. Fully sealed with a tough matte varnish ready for its new home.
