Vintage Queen Anne Styled Floral Design Sideboard by Lebus - Upcycled
Collection and Viewing
This is a beautiful piece of furniture and I am confident the person, who purchases it, will be happy. However, I believe it important to view on collection, to ensure absolute satisfaction, if possible. If the buyer prefers, I can arrange delivery and will look at the most economical option based on location. Most likely this will be via Upcyite.
This beautiful sideboard has been carefully and lovingly restored, and upcycled giving it more than a new lease of life. The painstakingly added transfers and finishing techniques (see notes below) have created a unique piece of furniture that will generate interest and add a warm feel to whichever room it sits in.
The sideboard features three drawers in the centre, and is flanked by two cupboards with fixed shelves and beautiful curved doors. Although some refer to Art Deco as the influence for this piece, the floral design, is more akin to a Queen Anne label. Either way, it is a great sideboard.
The body sits on and is supported by Cabriole style legs. The top has a shapely plinth with an appliqué in the centre and comes with vintage handles.

About this Unique piece
Restoring and upcycling this item took a fair bit of time and effort, and was done with love and care. Initially cleaned with white lightening, the sideboard was then scuff sanded. Then two coats of ZINSSER B-I-N SHELLAC were added to seal the surface, ahead of painting.
A unique mix of Upper Canada and Picket Fence Fusion Mineral Paint were then combined to achieve the light green foundation. Next the ‘Iron Orchid Designs’ transfers were added. These transfers are delicate and more difficult to place, but the finished effect is worth the effort. Stencilling to the ends of the sideboard and the inside of the doors, complete the piece
Finally the sideboard surface was sealed with fine quality varnish.
Finishing touches; the drawer and cupboard handles are vintage and were chosen to compliment the graphics
