The tired and very worn Strongbow sideboard is finally done and ready to take centre stage ❤️
She’s absolutely got the wow factor and I have to say I’m smidge obsessed 😍
All the dark old finish has gone and replaced with a modern twist but still retaining lots of the original style….
The safari wallpaper is one of my favourites and it’s from bandq_uk, the paint was colour matched and painted using Tikkurila Helmi 30…
I replaced the old handles, they weren’t in the best condition but I just love the new handles still with a vintage vibe ❤️
The legs have been kept wood, I wanted to save more but sadly the veneer had seen better days. I used a tan wash on the legs, used a darker stain and then sealed with wood varnish for protection.
Inside the drawers and cupboards have all been waxed and conditioned….
I sealed the whole piece with several layers of crystal clear lacquer from Polyvine Ltd..

Please note that this is a vintage sideboard and has been a round many years. Although the refurbishment has been done to a very high standard there may still be evidence of it previous life.
