Apothecary cabinet wall mounted display shelf and drawers in purple & pink

This lovely little shelving unit was handmade from scratch and began its life on the Locko Park Estate in Derbyshire.

The upcycle at Little Ivy Designs studio has involved a good clean, sand, degrease and base coat of stain blocking primer.

The outer frame has textured layers of chalk paint with a blend of amethyst to aubergine purple. The inner shelves go from purple hues, through plum, to a pink glow.

The inside of the shelves are decorated with fern, fungi and forest inspired transfers. Ivy stencil details and gothic mouldings enhance the drawers. The piece was sealed with several topcoats in flat and finished with copper gilding wax.
