Either side are turned pillar supports and below are 2 drawers and 2 cupboard with carved fronts.
This Jacobean Revival style court cupboard is very well made and Skull Furniture was bought by Ercol in 1934 and the workforce went on to produce similar items under the Ercol name.
The previous owner of the cupboard was one of Lucian R. Ercolani right hand men and oversaw the Ercol buyout.
The court cupboard was a gift from Lucian as a wedding present in the 1930s.
Condition
The Court Cupboard is in very good condition for its age with a lively patina.
There are age related dings and dents and a cup ring but this adds to its charm.
