“Precious Jewels” Octagonal Carved Wooden Table and Sofa/Bench Conservatory Set

Although two separate donations I think this pair will make a perfect conservatory or summerhouse set.

Both are solid, carved, wood with some age.  Both sofa and table have been enhanced with jewel bright colours, stencilled surfaces, gold wax and gold leaf.

As well as a large seating area, the sofa benefits from two, full-width drawers which offer ample storage.

The table bears signs of a historic repair and the usual dents and dings you’d expect for a vintage piece.  My 82 year old neighbour inherited it from her aunt.

All surfaces protected with varnish.

Please note that most of my pieces are rescued from landfill and whilst I clean, repair and prep before upcycling, some signs of ageing and wear and tear cannot be fixed - I like to think these imperfections add to their character.
