The Stag furniture set has been cleaned, hand sanded and hand painted in Annie Sloan ‘Athenian Black’ Chalk Paint which is jet black in colour. The Stag furniture set has been finished with clear wax which seals and protects the paint as well as giving the pieces a slight sheen. The insides of the drawers have been treated to some finishing wax polish, which enriches the warm wood colour.

The Bowie image on the Tallboy has been professionally hand painted in white acrylic and the splashes and splats have been created with a palette knife. The Bowie image has been sealed with clear wax.

Modern round metal drawer knobs complete the transformation.

Chalk paint is a decorative paint known for its matt, chalky appearance. You can see the deliberate brush marks, wax application and areas where it has been lightly hand sanded and buffed.
