Edwardian Satinwood Inlaid Dressing Table With Swivel Mirror
Edwardian Satinwood Inlaid Dressing Table With Swivel Mirror
A refined and elegant Edwardian satinwood dressing table of excellent proportion, beautifully decorated with delicate floral inlay throughout. The shaped central swivel mirror retains its original plate, showing gentle age-related crazing which adds authentic period character.
The superstructure is flanked by small display shelves, above two inlaid drawers fitted with original ring pull handles. Below sits a useful undertier shelf, the whole raised on slender tapered legs terminating in stopper feet.
The piece displays a warm, mellow patina consistent with age. There are historic cosmetic marks and areas of fading, along with water marking to the undertier and a missing stopper detail to the back left foot — all reflected in the character and honesty of this charming example. The dressing table separates into three sections for ease of transport.
Despite its minor age-related imperfections, this remains a particularly graceful and decorative Edwardian piece, ideal for a bedroom, dressing area or boutique interior.
