House of Hackney Footstool Deep Seat Cushion. 'Atemis' Velvet. Unique, Special!

This utterly beautiful and very special piece of furniture has been lovingly restored. The
foam cushion inner has been replaced and the outer is covered with the iconic design 'Artemis' House of Hackney 100% cotton velvet in petrol.
Paying homage to William Morris, Artemis showcases the non-conformist approach to design House of Hackney is known for.
This vintage, early 70s footstool from the well known and respected furniture maker Sherborne. It features freshly painted ornate wooden Queen Ann style legs finished in very dark charcoal colour of a satin finish and lacquered to prevent scuffs and chipping.
The base is a solid wood which increases it's weight and stability.
All in all, a one off luxurious piece that is bound to make a statement as a unique and distinctive item of furniture for your home
I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design and makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with and of course, for you to enjoy.
NOTE. In order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture is done so using fire retardant materials, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.
