Mid Century Oval Coffee Table Hand Painted By Paint Kitchen

Hi,
This oval mid century coffee table came to the workshop needing some character and a finish which attracted attention and brought something to the shape and design.
I used black recycled chalk paint on the legs and ladder shelf, and for the top I hand painted a sectional design inspired by mid century book cover graphics, using a selection of techniques, products and finishes.
I've used dot printing blocks, metallic and primer red blends, heavily distressed and textured, solid colour and aged colours using dark waxes.
I then applied a black outline to each section to link back to the table legs and shelf.
This would have appeal to a mid century graphic arts fan, as its inspiration is taken directly from book covers from the fifties and sixties, eg 'Paterson.'
It's a very unique stand out piece and will suit an eclectic, minimal or mid century styled interior.
I'm happy to answer any questions or provide further info - just send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
