Quality Victorian Mahogany Mirror Back Sideboard – Circa 1870
Quality Victorian Mahogany Mirror Back Sideboard – Circa 1870
A grand and opulent Victorian mahogany sideboard dating to around 1870, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and presence. The large, clear mirror is framed in an ornately carved surround, adding elegance and depth to the piece.
The base features a practical and well-thought-out layout:
• Three drawers (a large central drawer flanked by two shorter ones)
• Four cupboard doors beneath
• The central double doors open to reveal a single fitted shelf
• The left cupboard contains two sliding trays
• The right cupboard houses a traditional cellarette
Crafted from quality mahogany, this sideboard has a beautiful warm glow and rich patina developed over time. It is solid, sturdy, and heavy—a true statement piece. There is a small area of veneer loss to the lower left flank, but it does little to detract from the overall beauty and impact of the piece.
A true room-changer, this large and elegant sideboard offers substantial storage and timeless style. A genuine antique that will serve and impress for generations to come.
Please note:
This piece comes as a single unit—the mirror detaches for transport, but the base does not break down. Due to its size and weight, please ensure it suits your space and access before purchasing.
