Victorian Oak Twin Pedestal Kneehole Desk
Victorian Oak Twin Pedestal Kneehole Desk
A characterful Victorian oak twin pedestal desk with a wonderfully rustic patina developed through age and use. This is a solid, practical piece with generous storage and classic proportions, ideal for a study, home office, or period interior.
The oak frame retains its original blue leather writing surface, which is generally in good condition with some expected surface marks consistent with age. The back and overall finish show mild discolouration, adding to the desk’s authentic vintage character. There is some small, localised veneer chipping, but nothing significant or structural.
The desk features nine drawers in total, all fitted with brass handles and running smoothly.
• The centre middle drawer includes a lift-up
internal plank, which can be removed if
preferred.
• The middle drawer on the right-hand
pedestal has a visible crack across the
drawer front; this appears stable and does
not affect use.
Overall, this is a sturdy, usable desk with plenty of charm and a well-worn, honest appearance.
Condition:
Good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks, and minor veneer losses as expected. Please refer to photographs, which form part of the description.
Dimensions:
• Width: 124.5 cm
• Depth: 55 cm
